Process
Working together is designed to be clear, structured, and focused on results. Whether you’re starting with an idea or refining a full manuscript, the goal is the same: strengthen your story in a way that holds up—both creatively and in the market.
1. Project Inquiry
Start by reaching out with a brief overview of your project.
Helpful details include:
- Genre and target audience
- Current stage (idea, draft, or completed manuscript)
- Estimated word count
- The service you’re interested in
From there, I’ll determine the best next step and whether a sample review is needed.
2. Review & Proposal
If applicable, I’ll review a portion of your manuscript to assess scope and overall fit.
You’ll receive:
- A recommendation on the best service for your project
- A custom quote based on scope and complexity
- A projected timeline
This ensures everything is aligned before work begins.
3. Project Start
Once we move forward, your project is scheduled and work begins based on the agreed scope.
For larger projects, this may include:
- Alignment on story direction or goals
- Outline or structure confirmation (if needed)
- Defined milestones or phases
4. Execution
This is where the core work happens.
Depending on the service, this may include:
- Full manuscript writing (ghostwriting)
- In-depth editorial analysis and reporting (developmental editing)
- Line-by-line refinement (line editing)
The focus throughout is on:
- Strengthening structure and pacing
- Improving clarity and flow
- Ensuring the story is engaging and cohesive
5. Delivery & Next Steps
You’ll receive your completed work along with any notes, feedback, or recommendations.
For editing projects, this includes:
- Clear revision direction
- What’s working and what needs strengthening
- Next steps for moving forward
For ghostwriting, delivery includes a completed manuscript within the agreed scope.
6. Ongoing Support (Optional)
Many clients continue beyond a single project.
This may include:
- Additional editing rounds
- Series development
- Future ghostwriting or revisions
Long-term collaboration is always an option, depending on your goals.
Client Experience & Results
I’ve worked with authors across multiple genres and stages of the writing process, helping transform early drafts into structured, engaging, and market-ready manuscripts.
Much of my work is completed under NDA, but clients consistently come away with:
- Stronger story structure and pacing
- Clear, actionable feedback
- Improved reader engagement
- A manuscript that feels complete and intentional
Many projects turn into long-term collaborations, with clients returning for additional editing, writing, and series development support. Some notable authors are Annie Wild, Blair Howard, Hazel Parker, Josie Hart, and many more!

TESTIMONIALS:
“Charlotte was absolutely amazing to work with. She knows the romance world exceptionally well and managed to fix a very bad manuscript and changed it to one of my best books yet. I will be working with her for a long, long time.”
“I was in a last-minute situation with my manuscript, and Charlotte’s writing sample compelled me to reach out. She is very organized and straight to the point. She took my feedback and my editor’s feedback well and added comments on where things stand or suggestions on how things could move forward, which, by the way, were super duper helpful.”
“Charlotte is a great contemporary romance writer. She wrote MC romance and other popular niches for me. She is professional and has good communication. The work submitted did not need much editing. She is also a talented blurb writer which was a bonus. She was good at series and storyline development. Highly recommend!!!”
